Tank Cleaning Advice

Expert help choosing and setting up the right tank cleaning equipment for your vessels and process.

What you get

The right machine, in the right place

Selecting the correct tank washer is a vital part of any process system. Get it right and turnaround times shorten, productivity rises and the whole CIP cycle can be optimised.

Our engineers work through the five things that matter: the result you need, the product being cleaned, the cleaning fluid, the vessel design and your CIP set-up. We then recommend the machine, nozzle size, position and cycle to suit.

  • Machine selection for new and existing vessels
  • Positioning to avoid shadow areas
  • Flow, pressure and cycle recommendations
  • Supply of pumps or complete CIP systems if needed

Ideal if you…

  • are specifying a new vessel or line
  • are replacing static spray balls
  • have changed product or process
  • aren’t sure what your current set-up delivers

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

Can’t find your answer? Our engineers are happy to help.

How do I know what pressure and flow I have?

Ideally the pressure and flow should be measured at the cleaning head rather than taken from the pump rating. If that isn’t possible, send us your pump details and pipe runs and we’ll help you estimate it.

Do I need to tell you what my product is?

Not necessarily. For confidentiality you can describe its characteristics instead: how soluble, sticky, viscous, toxic or corrosive it is, and whether it changes when wet or dry.
