Chemical Processing
Safe, repeatable cleaning for chemical process vessels, including ATEX-certified machines for hazardous areas.
Chemical Processing
Clean between batches, recover more product
Chemical processing is an ideal application for automated cleaning in place, where health and safety is paramount and many products are toxic or flammable. Different products and processes need different standards of cleaning, depending on how critical the application is.
Many additives and products are expensive, so recovering residues through efficient cleaning can make a real difference to profitability. Repeatable cleaning also cuts the risk of product contamination, and using the minimum of cleaning solvent and time reduces effluent and downtime between batches.
- Jetstream and Orbitor machines for repeatable, high-impact cleaning
- Rotary spray balls for smaller vessels and dry powder processes
- ATEX certification available on the Orbitor range
- Vessel analysis to find and eliminate shadow areas

The challenge
What we help you solve
Toxic and flammable products
Removing the need for man entry, with ATEX options for hazardous areas.
Expensive residues
Efficient cleaning helps recover high-value product.
Complex vessels
Mixers and pipework create shadows. We analyse the vessel and advise on positions.
Effluent and downtime
Less solvent and shorter cycles between production batches.

How we help
From enquiry to a cleaner tank
Led by engineers who design and build the machines.
01
Tell us about your tank
Size and shape, access opening, residue, and the pressure and flow you have available.
02
We review your application
We look at coverage, cleaning reach and any shadow areas inside the vessel.
03
We recommend a set-up
The right machine, nozzle size and configuration for your process.
04

FAQ
Frequently asked questions
Can’t find your answer? Our engineers are happy to help.
Can the Orbitor be used in hazardous areas?
The Orbitor range can be supplied with ATEX certification on request for use in hazardous areas. In ATEX configuration the maximum operating temperature is 60°C, and volatile or flammable solvents must not be used as the cleaning fluid.
Tell us your zone classification and cleaning fluid and we’ll confirm the right configuration.
Can you help with vessels that have mixers inside?
Yes. Mixers and pipework create shadows where cleaning may not be effective. We can analyse the vessel design and advise on the best selection and positioning of equipment.
