Tank cleaning for the chemical industry

Why CIP suits chemical processing, and how to get a repeatable clean.

The chemical industry is an ideal application for CIP, where health and safety is paramount and many products are toxic or flammable. Different products and processes need different cleaning standards depending on how critical the application is.

Many additives and products are very expensive, so recovering residues through a high level of cleaning can have a major impact on profitability. Product contamination also hits productivity, and highly efficient, repeatable cleaning minimises that risk.

The Dasic Jetstream range is ideal for cleaning vessels and tanks, giving a repeatable, high degree of cleaning with the minimum use of expensive solvents and time. That means less effluent and less downtime between batches.

Rotary spray balls suit smaller applications and are common in dry powder processes. They are also used where a wash and rinse is acceptable for process cleaning.

Many process vessels have complex shapes or mixers and pipework inside, creating shadows where cleaning may not be effective. Dasic can analyse the vessel design and advise on the best selection and positioning of equipment for the most efficient clean.
