Overview

Compact high-impact cleaning for smaller vessels

The Orbitor 100 is the compact member of Dasic’s Orbitor range, designed to deliver high-impact rotary jet cleaning in smaller tanks and confined spaces. It passes through a 100 mm opening, or around 85 mm with the nozzles vertically aligned, making it ideal where access is restricted.

It brings the same versatility and simplicity as the larger Orbitor machines to tanks traditionally serviced by less effective rinsing and wetting devices. Self-cleaning and self-lubricating operation minimises contamination risk and maintenance, and each machine is configured to suit the required pressure, flow and cleaning application.

Cleaning performance

Wash pattern and cleaning diameter

Wetting diameter is the area reached by the jets. Cleaning diameter is the area over which effective mechanical cleaning is achieved. Both vary with operating pressure and nozzle size.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

Can’t find your answer? Our engineers are happy to help.

What size tank can the Orbitor 100 clean?

It is designed for smaller tanks and confined vessels. The cleaning diameter depends on your supply pressure and nozzle size, as shown in the chart above. Send us your tank dimensions and we’ll confirm.

Can it be fitted to an existing CIP system?

Yes. The fixed version can be connected to an existing CIP system via a ¾” or 1″ BSP/NPT inlet, and the portable version fits through a Ø100 mm opening.

Can the Orbitor be used in hazardous areas?

The Orbitor range can be supplied with ATEX certification on request for use in hazardous areas. In ATEX configuration the maximum operating temperature is 60°C, and volatile or flammable solvents must not be used as the cleaning fluid.

Tell us your zone classification and cleaning fluid and we’ll confirm the right configuration.

Which surface finish do I need?

The standard finish suits general industrial use. The highly polished hygienic finish is designed for food, beverage, dairy, pharmaceutical and other sanitary applications.
