Overview

High-impact cleaning for open and closed tanks

The Orbitor Dualhead is a rotary jet tank cleaning machine for demanding open and closed vessel applications. With all eight nozzles jetting together, it delivers a dense, full 360° wash pattern for powerful, consistent cleaning across large tank surfaces.

For open tanks, the Dualhead can be configured for a restricted 180° to 85° downward wash. The jets fire through the downward arc and cut out on the upward arc, concentrating cleaning where it’s needed and preventing overspill and upward spraying. Four nozzles are active at any one time for a constant downward washing action.

Down wash

Configurable 180°–85° downward wash

The Dualhead can restrict its cleaning pattern to a downward angle between 180° and 85°, so the jets are concentrated on the areas that need cleaning.

This set-up is ideal where heavy residue collects on the bottom of a tank or across filtering structures such as storm screens in the water utilities sector. Full 360° cleaning is also available, with all eight nozzles jetting together, when you need complete vessel coverage.

Installation

Fixed or portable installation

The Dualhead can be supplied for fixed or portable installation. A minimum tank opening of Ø270 mm is required and the downpipe can be designed to suit the application. Fixed installations can be supplied with a downpipe, adaptor and valve, while portable arrangements can include layflat hose and a hose saddle.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

Can’t find your answer? Our engineers are happy to help.

When should I choose the down-wash configuration?

Choose it for open tanks, storm tanks and vessels where residue is concentrated on the bottom or on screens. It concentrates the jets on those areas and avoids spraying upwards or over the rim.

Can the Orbitor be used in hazardous areas?

The Orbitor range can be supplied with ATEX certification on request for use in hazardous areas. In ATEX configuration the maximum operating temperature is 60°C, and volatile or flammable solvents must not be used as the cleaning fluid.

Tell us your zone classification and cleaning fluid and we’ll confirm the right configuration.

Why is each machine configured to order?

Matching the nozzle size, cycle time, operating pressure and flow rate to your tank means you get an effective clean without using more water than you need.
